Every day we use water to shower, wash, do the dishes or to flush the toilet. In the waste water there are waste materials that are polluting nature and have consequences for our health. Therefore, the water board removes the pollutants from the waste water. When the water is sufficiently purified, it is discharged back into the surface of a channel.

The waste water entering into the sewer consist in part of sludge. Normally this must also be filtered in the water treatment plant, but can also be applied directly for the production of biodiesel because the sludge is rich in oils and fats. The result is also a great saving of energy and the costs of the filtration of the sludge.
